Bea in her human form talks to an older couple at a produce stand, using her charm to purchase the two enslaved persons.

*About 24 cents, which in this day and age is a lot more. However, these two slaves, who are both strong and healthy and have all their teeth, would go for two or three each. But Romanum Borealis doesn’t use the same economic system, not to mention different slang, so it is unlikely that these two actually know how much a “bob” is. But this man is so handsome and charming and clearly of superior stock, so he must be being very generous.

Beatrix is going to be the one who handles all the money from now on.
